Transaction Center Passwords
Card Query Password vs. Login Password:
With a GoEmerchant.com transaction center, there are 2 separate passwords. Merchants have a login password which is used to grant the merchant access to the transaction center. They then also have a card query password which is used to grant access to card query permissions. Card Query Permissions are used to view the full 15 or 16 digit credit card number in the transaction center. A card query login is only good for that login session.
Changing Passwords in Transaction Center:
Every merchant is required to change their login and card query passwords on their first login attempt and then every 45 days after. Below is what the merchant will see when prompted to change their passwords.
You will notice that the requirements of the new passwords are as follows:
New passwords must be at least 6 characters long and must contain at least 1 character, 1 number and 1 of the following special characters:
! @ $ ^ * ?
Passwords may NOT contain the following characters: & < > ' " + % # ;
